JBS Co Limited is a family run business and has been established since 1944 first trading under the name of J. Bugeja & Sons. The company initially started as a retail pharmacy, of which there are now two, both in Valletta - Empire Pharmacy situated in Old Theatre Street and Empire Pharmacy branch in Melita Street.
